What is the visual texture of presence?
Hideki Makiguchi, born in Sapporo and currently based in Tokyo, began photographing the many 'places' that lurk in our world on a single day in 2009. Focusing on the very existence of space itself, his photographs clearly show signs of something that transcends the formality of the subject.

Born 1985 in Hokkaido, he graduated from Tama Art University in 2009 and completed the Department of Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2011.
