Japan Football Archive

The second issue of SHUKYU Magazine's Archive Series is a collection of photographed items related to over 100 years of Japanese football. It mainly features items from the collection of the Japan Football Museum.

Japan Football Museum has been a popular destination for many football fans, serving as a place that connects the past, present, and future of Japanese football. The museum opened in December 2003 and closed in February 2023.

In every issue of the magazine published in the past, we have introduced the collection of the Japan Football Museum. Our first issue,  "ROOTS ISSUE,” published in May 2015, featured the JFA journal “SHUKYU.” In subsequent issues, we published a series of articles titled “Japan Football Archive,” with contributions from photographer Gottingham." 

This edition consists of items previously introduced in the magazine and newly photographed items for this edition. A brief description of each item is included so that you can enjoy the story behind it.
