Face — Art Book by Taipei Art Book Fair

2022 Taipei Art Book Fair continues the spirit—bold, straightforward, and with a liberating sense of free-spiritedness. Under the theme “FACE”, it echoes the past two years of living with the necessity of wearing masks and the way people on social media metaphorically wear masks.

In order to support local zine creators, Taipei Art Book Fair initiated “Taipei Art Book Fair Awards” for the first time in 2022. It features five award-winning artists from 2022, all emerging talents from Taiwan. Their creations extend beyond traditional mediums, exploring textiles, soft sculpture, tattoos, and more. They skillfully integrate visual imagery into daily life, showcasing a bold spirit of experimentation and a deep connection to Taiwan’s local roots. The works, highly praised by our panel of five judges, reflect a robust creative energy. Taipei Art Book Fair Awards aim to achieve a cross-disciplinary inspiration through the collection.

For the collection’s binding, we utilized the 2022 Taipei Art Book Fair poster as the cover and used stockings as packaging in response to the theme of the year. Therefore each collection will be unique.
